Finally.... I'm back... and free....

It's been a rather long week last week.... actually it doesn't feel as long... because i was basically kept on my toes from day 1 till the end... and so the days seem to pass rather quickly, when i didn't notice it... haha...

Let me start with my day first... haha... then i shall go into my ICT....

Today had been rather strenuous.... i went for a 4.3km run at Bedok Reservoir in the late afternoon.. and the sun was very very hot... i decided to maintain my training momentum, after running a timing of 11min 25s for my ICT IPPT... which was like the fastest timing since i ORDied... and so i decided to improve on it there and that... and so.. went for a run...
But perhaps i had been sleeping too much for the past 2 days... and today as well... my run was rather lethargic... haha..
By the way.. the sleep was rather necessary.. i'll explain more when i go into my ICT...
After the run... i went to do some static trainings... and i was attempting a wide-arm over-grab pull-up style... when i think i sort of pulled the muscle in my right arm... still abit sore now... haha...
I saw my friend did this style during the IPPT... and i thought it looked very nice... haha... so now i am going to un-train my under-grab style, and change to the wide arm over-grab version... will take some time to do that... but i am going to give it a shot... since i so free nowadays.. haha.. just train everyday... i'm sure i can master it...

But well.. not today... let my arm rest... haha...

Following that... i went home for a break... and headed now to the sheltered community center for some basketball game... was planning to do some shoots here and there... but got people there jio me play match.... so went ahead lor...
It was rather fun.. getting back to playing matches... lost 1 game.. and won 1 game... and to be honest... i would say i was rather important in the group... because i have 2 shooters who cannot shoot... or do anything effective.. and an old man... who is quite good despite his age.. just that shooting also not as good...
There's one that's quite irritating though... one of the cannot shoot shooters... he keeps clapping twice whenever he wants the ball... and it's irritating me... i mean... can't you just shout out or something? There was once when i passed the ball to him... and he was in the midst of clapping.. then he have to stop and grab the ball immediately... it looks very lame... seriously...
And i say again... it is irritating...
Anyway.. the 2 shooters... young boys... maybe 16 or so... i can't understand them.. i am already in the center area... and i am always getting the rebounds... so why do they have to come in and always fight with me over the rebound... then whenever i get the ball... they show me a stupid face... and make stupid sounds.... Haiz.... not that i want to say this... but i think they are rather dumb players... literally...

Anyway... that's about that.... now i am feeling my head burning.. think too much heat... as well as too much strenuous exercises... haha

My ICT.... well well... think i can't reveal much...

But let's just say... i was busy right from the first day... officially taking over as a PS... Wow.... it is really a busy position man...
From the first day... I'm like running the platoon already... taking over stuffs... ensuring the platoon have this and that.. do this and that.. on average... i wake up at 0600hrs, and go to bed at 0100hrs... sometimes even later... got alot of administrative stuffs to do...

The 2 toughest days included a whole day of events... the first being our live shoot and some infantry battle course thing... and since i haven't done any fire and movement since i entered the mortar platoon... it was kinda tiring... especially since i was in the demonstrating detail.... and with the whole exam month of no-exercise... i was grasping for air till the end....
The course was basically fire and movement through the length of route about that of SOC... but throughout you have to clear alot of obstacles.. tunnels...crawl in mud... not to mention that it rained in the morning... and so... we were all wet when we finished....

The other day... which as the 2nd last day... was a combination of IPPT and our platoon drills.... i thought i can't perform much for IPPT... due to my whole month of non-exercise.. bu surprisingly... i managed to complete 8 pull-ups... and everything else was silver grade.. except for my SBJ... as usual... only managed to pass... the more surprising thing was my 2.4km run... i managed a 11min 25s... the fastest since I ORDied... so i was kinda happy... haha... and so i am going to improve on it... as mentioned earlier... until a gold standard... haha... we shall see man...

On the same day.. i slept at close to 0500hrs... because we had to clean arms till super good standard... plus sending in all our stores and all...
And as a PS... as usual... i have to ensure this and that... and i am always called out to settle something while cleaning arms... which makes me the last to finish cleaning everything...
Then i got a specialist who suddenly have to go hospital.. then i have to arrange for him to be send back to camp.... which was about 0500hrs.... and so i could only sleep by then..
The next day... i woke up at 0600hrs...

Wow..... am i power or what...

Well.... on the whole... i would say the ICT was rather fine... things went about smoothly... i get to see and work with my platoon mates again... and this time i had more commanders with me.. including the first-year commanders... had to do some integration with them....
On the last day though... driving to NUS to meet up with my brother was rather dangerous... i kept wanting to sleep... eyes giving way... and so i had to blast the music.. and slap myself to keep myself awake... and i keep making wrong turns as well...making the journey even longer.... luckily i got to my brother safe and sound... and after that he took over the wheels.. while i go sleep...
The sleep deprivation from the past week was so powerful.... i kept sleeping throughout the weekend.... dono why... just wanted to sleep.... and sleep.... haha...

But well.. finally today i am awake enough to start training up... and blog around....

Haha... think that's about all...

Now... my priority would eb to look for a job... go Sabah for my diving lessons... and also train up for improving my IPPT...

That's all...
