Rest day....

Been rather busy the past few days... so today was a great break... no work... no appointments.. no nothing... haha...

In fact... i slept about 1/2 the day.... a great relieve to my sore muscles... and tired mental state...
Felt so much refreshing...

Much of the weekdays was spent on my archery work... going to schools and all... but last Friday was one very busy day for me..

In the morning, i went for my dog-walking, after canceling my Thursday session because my boss suddenly call me up for archery...

But i left early from my dog-walking session, because I have to go for archery projects at noon.... at the old VS site... halfway through, i have to leave with my boss to another school at Sembawang... all the way till 1500hrs...

After that... i went home, rest awhile, had dinner.. then head down for my Bronze Medallion lessons.... I'm going to have my test on this coming Saturday.. so better go for the last few lessons... haha..

Yup.. that's my Friday.. packed from start till end....

Saturday morning... also got work... then after that go home rest... then went to meet up with 3 of my SRJC classmates to buy food for a small steamboat session at my house... 4 of us only... and as usual.. bought too much food.... then I have to settle the leftovers...

Hmm.... next time i really should control the food ration.... always having left-overs... not very nice...
Following that.. went for a late night discussion for the KL trip at Hougang.... all the way sia... at after midnight.... -_-... but no choice... some of them have other stuffs on...
Reach home and slept at 0300hrs... then Sunday got basketball.... High sia...

Went for basketball.. then after that meet up with Luis and Yan Li to go donate blood... my appointment was already long overdue... haha... because it clashed with my exams... then i have putting it off for so long... so finally decided to go... or else my target of getting a fish will be very long... for those who have went to the Blood Bank to donate, you will know what i am talking about ... haha...

Hmmm... that's that....

Recently heard a very nice song... 丁噹 and 五月天阿信-"走火入魔"... very nice duet... haha....

Have an issue with my work.... my boss is insistent on putting me for a project i am not confident... Sian.. and for the whole of July.. I've never handled a CCA before... then he suddenly just put me in like that.... Talked to him about it le... but he doesn't seem to want to change me...
Haiz... no choice man... I've already told him my issue... if i didn't do a good job... then like that le lor...

A long due visit....

Went for my archery work today... at Cedar Girls... actually the highlight was not the fact that i am going there... but it's that i am going to the old VS site.... the place i spent 4 years studying... Cedar is now using it as a holding ground....

Really brings back the memory man... i took exactly the same bus i took years ago... 26... waited abit long for it though... as usual...
It travel almost the same route, just that there was some modifications to the road there... so the bus reached very near to the school there, instead of the usual where i will have to walk some distance... but i still walked the long way, because i didn't know it will end up nearer...

Anyway... going into the building... everything was like still the same... the sturcture... the tables... halls... walkway... even the male toilet beside the gym ( it's now being converted to a classroom) is still the male toilet that i use everytime after track and field training...
Those were the years... wonderful years....

Well... the colours of parts of the building did change though.. the grandstand has been painted over... a long time ago... haha... then the interior also got change some colours here and there...
But still... the place felt as it was before....

Getting abit nostalgic here.. ain't I.... haha...
But the feeling was still there man.... ^_^

Anyway... with regards to my job search... I've sort of made a deal with my archery head coach...
Since the IBM agency fellow did not bother to even contact me back, after I've attempted to reach her for at least 3 times, everything in which she is not around, and everytime the person answering my call say she will pass my number to her, and till now i haven't received any calls... it's been a week.... I'm honestly abit fed-up with that agency already... guess I'll look elsewhere for work le...

As i was saying, my deal was to do archery for whole of July... since there is alot fo projects on for July, so I'll help pit for the whole month, after which for August, I'll attempt to find other work, since the projects would have already toned down... so that's when i will hopefully find some administrative work.. never done them before... just want to try it out man... and also as HK mentioned... have something more to put in my resume.. other than just Archery for all 3 years of my University life...

Yep.. that's the plan.... tomorrow I'm heading down to the old VS site again.... this few weeks i will be getting rather busy... with all the archery projects coming up.... and also, my BM instructor finally called me to inform me that my test would either be this Saturday or next Saturday... I've already skipped all the lessons since this month... so I'll be heading down tomorrow... to do some practice... and hopefully get my Bronze Medallion by this Saturday... It's been a year since i started learning it... definitely taking too long... too too long...

Alright... that's all.. go sleep le...

An Elevated Sense of Happiness... ^_^

Just came back from a night basketball session.. and i would say... Wow.... it's like one of my happiest time playing basketball.... ^_^

I am completely satisfied with my play... i scored well... defended well.. rejected a few balls... i did everything so well... and i am playing with what i call an elevated sense of happiness... i can feel the happiness while i am jumping to shoot or do layups... i feel so good.....

Hmmm.... you must be asking me why.... Muahahahaha....

Well... i guess it's the people there... or shall i say... the lack of people... person... ^_^

I played so energetically and motivatedly... i only stopped when my leg muscles finally cramp until cannot make it... haha... jump too much... too happy le mah....

Well... a satisfied basketball session...

That's all...

Facing a dilemma....

Had a archery project this morning.... and well... after some talk by my head coach.. facing abit of dilemma ....

To be honest... I'm really abit tired of archery... as mentioned... it's a manual labour job... and another thing is.. it's rather temporal... not fix dates and no fix time... and in a full month, i definitely do not earn as much as any office job, even though the pay per hour may be lower...

But my head coach was sort of convincing me to stay on for archery... i guess it's also because I'm one of the better ones... (I'm not hao lian-ing here ... haha.. facts...), and I sort of feel compelled to do so....

But then again... my heart is to the outside world... to try other jobs...

Hmmm.... how?

わたしはしりません。。。。

Hmm... well.. so far... apart from this survey job... also looking to other jobs... to be honest... i'm abit "sian" of my archery job liao... want to do some office jobs... never tried them... all my part-time jobs so far had been manual hard labour... time for a change man...

Hmm... nothing much to blog nowadays le... boring life....

That's all i guess...

Happy Birthday, Bro...

Went for my dog walking today... saw quite abit of new entrants... that means newly abandoned dogs... there's a Labrador, and a few small dogs... a schizter i think... not sure how to spell it... haha

Anyway... the Labrador was quite another nice dog... somewhat similar to the Golden Retriever... very gentle.. and friendly with the walkers...

I guess this shows quite a sad sight... there's more households dumping small dogs.. which is not very nice... why buy it in the first place then?
And to think that the dogs are still in very good condition... if i can put it that way...

Looks like more education is needed... responsible ownership...

Oh well..

Anyway... today is more brother's birthday..

Happy Birthday Bro.... ^_^

In search of a hybrid bicycle...

I went with TYS on a cycling trip today, in search of a new hybrid bicycle.... he wanted to get one... then i also shun bian check out new bicycles... considering getting one as well...

We went all over the east... actually not all over... mainly from ubi, then to East Coast Road there...

The whole journey was rather enjoyable... except for a small encounter at this particular bicycle shop... at somewhere which I'm not sure... but i know it's in Frankle avenue... and you will know later why i know this...

There's this bicycle shop that we bypass while heading to the one at East Coast Road, which was where TYS made his final decision to get a Scotts bicycle there...
This particular shop... i didn't even take note of the shop name... with the person whom i presume is the owner... seriously irks me with the "looking down on others' attitude...

When we went in to take a look, this AGK (ang gong kia - i call people whom i don't like this...), after TYS told him he looking for a hybrid, he just went out of the shop to show us some bicycles that are stationed outside the shop, and told us that this particular bicycle should be what we can best afford (something to that term)...
It was upon hearing this comment that i got abit pissed off already... though he went on to describe the bicycle to TYS... i wasn't that interested anymore...
I mean... you didn't ask for our budget or anything... just by looking at us, you presume we cannot afford any bicycle above $800?? Or even a $1000?
Though that may be the case.. is that the way to treat a customer? His words clearly showed a "qiao bu qi ren" attitude.... and based on my observation... he's obviously more interested in serving the ang mohs....
The next thing was that when TYS asked if his shop only have this brand of bicycles - i mean... hey.... we chance upon the bicycle shop, so decided to take a look... how we know what is the shop about??? - he arrogantly (or so i felt his attitude) told us that his shop is not just any bike shop on Frankle avenue... it's the sole distributor for this AGK brand in South-East Asia...

Wow.... great... anyway... you've confirmed loose me as a customer... no matter how rich i am... i won't bother looking at that brand of bicycle anymore... maybe until they decide to change the distributor...
Really arrogant AGK....

The thing was that he was talking to TYS mostly... so I wasn't that angry....relatively... i mean... if he talked to me this way... i think i would gladly give him a few pieces of my mind right there and then... and tell him off about his arrogant attitude...
By the way... he felt like a "gay" to me... so maybe he can really become AGK - Arrogant Gay Kia...

Along the way... we were talking... actually it was me who was most pissed.. so i was saying that if i am very rich next time... i will just go back there... and buy the whole shop... than make him wash my toilet....

Anger thoughts... Haiz... I mean... even if i am that rich in future... i think i wouldn't spend my money like that... maybe I'll just buy over his distributor rights... make his business to become my business... or maybe just open a super bicycle shop beside him.. snatch all his customers...

Pardon me for the anger in my entry today... just felt the anger... unjust.... whatever...

Haiz...

Anyway... think TYS got a good deal at this bike shop at East Coast Road... it's a pretty good bicycle.... yup... it may not be as expensive as the Frankle avenue stupid bicycle shop... but it sure is not gay....
No offense to gays though.... just that AGK...

That's all...

Finally.... I'm back... and free....

It's been a rather long week last week.... actually it doesn't feel as long... because i was basically kept on my toes from day 1 till the end... and so the days seem to pass rather quickly, when i didn't notice it... haha...

Let me start with my day first... haha... then i shall go into my ICT....

Today had been rather strenuous.... i went for a 4.3km run at Bedok Reservoir in the late afternoon.. and the sun was very very hot... i decided to maintain my training momentum, after running a timing of 11min 25s for my ICT IPPT... which was like the fastest timing since i ORDied... and so i decided to improve on it there and that... and so.. went for a run...
But perhaps i had been sleeping too much for the past 2 days... and today as well... my run was rather lethargic... haha..
By the way.. the sleep was rather necessary.. i'll explain more when i go into my ICT...
After the run... i went to do some static trainings... and i was attempting a wide-arm over-grab pull-up style... when i think i sort of pulled the muscle in my right arm... still abit sore now... haha...
I saw my friend did this style during the IPPT... and i thought it looked very nice... haha... so now i am going to un-train my under-grab style, and change to the wide arm over-grab version... will take some time to do that... but i am going to give it a shot... since i so free nowadays.. haha.. just train everyday... i'm sure i can master it...

But well.. not today... let my arm rest... haha...

Following that... i went home for a break... and headed now to the sheltered community center for some basketball game... was planning to do some shoots here and there... but got people there jio me play match.... so went ahead lor...
It was rather fun.. getting back to playing matches... lost 1 game.. and won 1 game... and to be honest... i would say i was rather important in the group... because i have 2 shooters who cannot shoot... or do anything effective.. and an old man... who is quite good despite his age.. just that shooting also not as good...
There's one that's quite irritating though... one of the cannot shoot shooters... he keeps clapping twice whenever he wants the ball... and it's irritating me... i mean... can't you just shout out or something? There was once when i passed the ball to him... and he was in the midst of clapping.. then he have to stop and grab the ball immediately... it looks very lame... seriously...
And i say again... it is irritating...
Anyway.. the 2 shooters... young boys... maybe 16 or so... i can't understand them.. i am already in the center area... and i am always getting the rebounds... so why do they have to come in and always fight with me over the rebound... then whenever i get the ball... they show me a stupid face... and make stupid sounds.... Haiz.... not that i want to say this... but i think they are rather dumb players... literally...

Anyway... that's about that.... now i am feeling my head burning.. think too much heat... as well as too much strenuous exercises... haha

My ICT.... well well... think i can't reveal much...

But let's just say... i was busy right from the first day... officially taking over as a PS... Wow.... it is really a busy position man...
From the first day... I'm like running the platoon already... taking over stuffs... ensuring the platoon have this and that.. do this and that.. on average... i wake up at 0600hrs, and go to bed at 0100hrs... sometimes even later... got alot of administrative stuffs to do...

The 2 toughest days included a whole day of events... the first being our live shoot and some infantry battle course thing... and since i haven't done any fire and movement since i entered the mortar platoon... it was kinda tiring... especially since i was in the demonstrating detail.... and with the whole exam month of no-exercise... i was grasping for air till the end....
The course was basically fire and movement through the length of route about that of SOC... but throughout you have to clear alot of obstacles.. tunnels...crawl in mud... not to mention that it rained in the morning... and so... we were all wet when we finished....

The other day... which as the 2nd last day... was a combination of IPPT and our platoon drills.... i thought i can't perform much for IPPT... due to my whole month of non-exercise.. bu surprisingly... i managed to complete 8 pull-ups... and everything else was silver grade.. except for my SBJ... as usual... only managed to pass... the more surprising thing was my 2.4km run... i managed a 11min 25s... the fastest since I ORDied... so i was kinda happy... haha... and so i am going to improve on it... as mentioned earlier... until a gold standard... haha... we shall see man...

On the same day.. i slept at close to 0500hrs... because we had to clean arms till super good standard... plus sending in all our stores and all...
And as a PS... as usual... i have to ensure this and that... and i am always called out to settle something while cleaning arms... which makes me the last to finish cleaning everything...
Then i got a specialist who suddenly have to go hospital.. then i have to arrange for him to be send back to camp.... which was about 0500hrs.... and so i could only sleep by then..
The next day... i woke up at 0600hrs...

Wow..... am i power or what...

Well.... on the whole... i would say the ICT was rather fine... things went about smoothly... i get to see and work with my platoon mates again... and this time i had more commanders with me.. including the first-year commanders... had to do some integration with them....
On the last day though... driving to NUS to meet up with my brother was rather dangerous... i kept wanting to sleep... eyes giving way... and so i had to blast the music.. and slap myself to keep myself awake... and i keep making wrong turns as well...making the journey even longer.... luckily i got to my brother safe and sound... and after that he took over the wheels.. while i go sleep...
The sleep deprivation from the past week was so powerful.... i kept sleeping throughout the weekend.... dono why... just wanted to sleep.... and sleep.... haha...

But well.. finally today i am awake enough to start training up... and blog around....

Haha... think that's about all...

Now... my priority would eb to look for a job... go Sabah for my diving lessons... and also train up for improving my IPPT...

That's all...
