Yo yo..I'm Back~~~
Wow...been some time since i last blogged....
Anyway, been so busy with school, work, schoolwork... and rest... and so... didn't really bothered to blog much....
Just to do a summarised account...
Went for 2 birthday celebrations... wait.. in fact.. 3...
The first one was by WK and KL, on the 13th October... then there is Alvin's the next day.... followed by Yi Ming's on the following Saturday.
Yep... crammed with so many birthday celebrations on the weekends... plus i got to work on the weekdays, juggling between school and work, and schoolwork....
Wow..... looking back... i think i must have been quite good to have handled them all...
Was sort of the official 'BBQtor' for the WKKL birthday.... set up the fire... cook... everything...
Well... actually i enjoyed BBQing... so i gladly stood there for the whole duration... cooking and eating...
With some years of BBQ experience under my belt... i think i am at the black belt of BBQ liao...
Hmm... so maybe next time can call me Master BBQ.... ^_^
Anyway.... the whole event had been rather fun... but not excluding one of the friend of dono who there who started calling me the satay man... -_-
Well... sort of took it as a compliment... anyway she did mention the satay i cooked was good...
The next day... went for Alvin's celebration... at PS... Sakae Sushi buffet...
Cool man.. haven't ear the sushi buffet for such a long time... haha....
Was planning to donate blood before going, because the mobile blood bank came to the CC near my house, but i was rejected because i had taken TCM the few days before... for my arm... which till now, is still not recovering...
I suspect it may be a swimming related injury... sian... spent so much money on the Chinese Sinseh, but still no result... Haiz...
Anyway, after being rejected... went into PS to get a gift for Alvin first... too busy to buy for the past week...
And well... after that... we basically stuffed ourselves full with whatever is available... i was so full.. i didn't eat for the rest of the day.... haha... saved money on meals...
After that, WK and me went around to look for a gift for Yi Ming, and we found one rather interesting one... ^_^
And so, it was back to school and work for the week... until the following Friday... the 19th October.. which was like the most busy day of my life...
I had lessons in the morning, after which i rushed off for my job, forgoing lunch with Luis...
After the job, i rushed for my swimming lessons... and after the lesson, i went off for an army gathering at some "Substation".. it's beside SMU... then went off to play pool, until 2a.m. in the morning...
It was basically an army commander's gathering cum a fellow specialist introducing some SMU Korean girls to us... some girls which he apparently know after helping them break their locker lock... or so i heard...
Anyway, i went rather late... so didn't know them well... and so i didn't talk to them for the rest of the duration, including the pool session... haha...
Anyway, seeing some of the fellow commanders behaving so "over" infront of the girls, i went to play pool with the professional league... there's basically 3 tables opened... 1 for the professionals, or at least better than amateurs... and the rest for the "buayas".... playing against the Korean girls..
Then came Yi Ming's birthday the next day...
Phew... long entry man....
Went to Yi Ming's rather "ulu" chalet at Changi area... wasn't that interesting to be honest, just eat and talk around... the atmosphere is rather different... and since we, his SRJC ODAC friends are like the minority, i kinda feel that we are out of place...
And so... we just kept mainly to ourselves...
At least though, i managed to catch up with some old SRJC friend... in fact... one... haha... who was also my fellow unit mate, for awhile...
After that, we headed for Gary's shop... his "Bah Khut Teh" shop... it's at Cecil Street... if i'm not wrong... haha... been so long... i've even forgotten the address...
We went down to have a taste of his Bah Khut Teh... haha
(OK... just saw Gary's MSN... it is at 90 Circular Road...)
To be honest, i wasn't able to be a fair judge for the food that day... because i've already stuffed myself full at Yi Ming's chalet... and so i was so full then.. i was forcing myself to finish the food... haha... don't waste food mah...
But one thing though.. i like the chili... it's spicy enough... and the soup was ok...
Yep...
To be very honest... i'm not a favourite consumer of meat... especially pig... right now... i am trying to change my diet to include more vegetable, limiting my meat to fish and chicken... trying to lead a healthier lifestyle...
But i see a an advantage of the shop... it's next to a disco... and so a very substantial amount of income can come from these patrons... because after a long night of dancing... they could do with some food to replenish their energy...
And as i've heard from Gary, Wednesday night is their "full house" night... thanks to the "ladies night" of the disco...
One personal thought though... i believe to be really successful in the food industry, you need to get families in... make your eatery family oriented...because they will be the ones coming to you for big and small celebrations... or family meal times... especially the weekends...
But looking at the lifestyle of people now... they seldom eat out as a family... and so i guess targeting the disco patrons will be a very good idea....
Maybe a combination of both factors can help the business further...
Oh well... just some thoughts to share... i guess talking is one thing... but when you really get down to business... things won't be as easy as just talking....
But i guess it is still something good to take note of.... so maybe in future.. who knows... i maybe using this idea myself... haha...
Alright... almost done...
Just one last event.... last Sunday's paintball session at Orchid Country Club... organised by my school's ODAC... paid $40 for around 100 pellets...
It was a rather fun session... though my team lost 2 our of 3 fights... because we are suppose to retrieve an ammo box near the opponents side, which is like our flag, and bring it back to our base to win, without getting shot...
I'm glad i was the one who secured the only win for our team... no thanks to a senior SRJCian whom i met there... who is in my team... whom i classify as "all thunder no rain" type... or a personal one..." all fart no shit"....
He really talk so much.. but didn't dare to go grab the box... although he is in Number 4... by the way... he is the only one there who changed into his number 4 with boots... i shan't comment much on that...
Anyway... throughout the whole thing.... i just keep hearing him complaining about the rest of the team mate not supporting him.. or not covering him... like what everyone is aiming at him....
I mean... well... you are the one who volunteer to get the box... and all the time.. i was by the right flank... taking out the opponents one after another... after realising i was quite good at aiming... think it's thanks to my experience in playing "World Combat" and "Ghost Squad"...^_^
And so... i kept taking opponents out... but he just didn't bothered to move form his position...
After losing 2 games... i was rather fed up with him already... and so i went solo.... Rambo style... haha....
I shot and ran, and shot... and seizing the opportunity when i've shot some of the opponents down, i just rushed forward, grabbed the box, and ran back... zig zag...
And there... finally...we won one match.... no thanks to the "chicken backside"....
On the whole... i suffered 2 shots only... one to my hand, which resulted in some bleeding... and one to my chest... resulting in a bruise... but I've never felt more proud... I completed the mission.... haha....
I'm the Champion~~~( to myself.. : p)
And yep.... there ends the game... then we all headed back home...
That's about all that's interesting that happened... and starting this week.. it was back to school, work, schoolwork... all over again...
A good thing though.. the peak period for my job is ending soon... so I'll have more time for my studies...
And i am also looking to take up Japanese classes soon... been searching quite long for one to fit my timetable... and i've finally just located one.... so i should be starting soon... shan't waste anymore time...
A new language learnt is another useful economic tool... so i would want to get started soon...
Hmmm.. i guessed that's about all liao.. squeezed the last 2 weeks of stuffs in one entry...
Got to go rest liao... tomorrow still got work....
