Weird Evening...

Had a rather weird evening just now... haha... think the sky i trying to make fun of me... or help me...

I was suppose to go swimming at 1900hrs... so i would normally set off at 1800hrs in my bicycle, so i can have my dinner, then go for swimming...

Today though, because it was raining around that time, i decided to drive there. And so.. i drove to the hawker center near my house for dinner first.
The weird thing is, while eating, the rain stopped. So i was like.... hmm.. . go back and cycle to the swimming complex lor.... easier... save parking.. save fuel... and so i drove back, parked, went home to get my bicycle.
Darn... waste fuel just to drive out to a nearby hawker center to eat...

While taking out my bicycle, i suddenly remembered that i didn't bring my long sleeves shirt and pants... it's for training purposes... so i guess it was a good thing that i decided to go home to change to my bicycle, or else i wouldn't have remembered....

On the way down the lift... i realised i didn't bring my hand-phone head set... i need it since it's a abit of a journey... so i went back up to get it...

Then... it started to rain again..... -_-"

I wouldn't be able to cycle in the condition... and so in the end... i just drove there...

It was fortunate that i decided to drive... the rain got very heavy on my drive there.... i would've been soaked thorough like a wet chicken if i cycled....

Hmm..... moral of the story...

Bring a umbrella and take bus next time....

Haha... but well... there's no direct bus from my house to the swimming complex.. so still have to drive....

Anyway.... haha.... just find the series of event rather weird... it's kinda like the sky is helping me to remember to take my stuff, and wanting me to drive because it wants to rain.... but at the same time.. it has caused me much hassle here and there...

Oh well.. nothing much... just decided to share this interesting encounter...

Just finished my dinner... after coming back from my IPPT....

Well.... i wouldn't say i am very disappointed... i mean.. i expected the result... yar... so well... although it's not what i hoped for... haha...

I was hoping for a silver... though as i've mentioned.. it's a low confidence hope....

I got a pass....
And this is my result slip.. haha...

The overall result was what i expected...a pass... but not the individual events...

My sit-up, was as usual... over 40 one... today... surprisingly... i did much more... haha.. maybe last time i just stop at 40... this time i went on to 45... no difference... 5 points...

SBJ... it has always been my archillies heels... my legs are not strong enough... haiz... last time in camp still can manage 225cm... now only 221cm.. just pass....

Chin-up... although i dropped from my personal best of 10.... i managed to do 8 today.. haha... usually at home i only managed 6... at home don't have the motivation to push on...
Well... aiming for 10 now... get a Gold standard...

Shuttle run... also drop from last time liao... 10.2s... used to be 10s flat.... but this one.. not a problem... can work on it... same with my SBJ...

And lastly... 2.4km... abit disappointing... only managed a 12.11 minute... big drop from my personal best... and also form my unit timing...
Personal best was 10.05 minute... can never forget that... haha... nearly can get Gold...
Unit timing was around 11 minutes... so yar... there's a big drop...
But i'm not too worried... 2.4km i can train back one... not a problem...

Actually... after an analyse of all my events... i think i can manage a Gold... but i would have to put in alot of work from now... left with 1 month.... try to make it ba... haha...

At least for now...i've cleared my IPPT... 1 less thing to worry about... now got to face my prelims... and complete my course work...

Going to take my IPPT later... at Bedok camp... haha...

Never felt this nervous before man... last time IPPT like no kick... like abit stressed liao....

My most confident level would be to pass... getting silver... there's some chance... haha.. but i'm not so confident about it...

But never mind... at least get a pass today... then i can work towards my silver... haha...

I personally think i am in quite a good fitness level... so just need abit more training to bring my level up... haha..

By the way... i am already blogging on my own laptop now... no thanks to the service center staffs....

The told me they can't do anything for me.. because it was an OS problem... so they suggested i get a hard-disk casing, take out my hard disk and fit it up, transfer all the data to another computer, then reformat my whole laptop....

Luckily my brother advised me against it... say he will come back to help me check it out... and in the end... we just did a system restore.... problem solved....

Saved me around $30 to get the hard disk casing.... but well....wasted my petrol fee there... my $2.50 parking fees... and my treat for somebody....

The best thing was that what the staff told me they did with my laptop... running diagnostic test and all... i already did it myself... so that's why i say it's really a wasted trip down there...

I've actually tired the system restore myself the other day.. but it doesn't seem to work...

Anyway... the problem's been solved... no thanks to the staff.... and i save so much trouble from not doing what they suggested i do... they even want to charge me at some exorbitant price for helping me do all the suggested things... which led me to decide to do get back the laptop, and do the things myself... and subsequently.. solve the problem with ease...
My brother can be a better technical staff than them... haha...

And in case you are wondering how come i didn't consult my brother in the first place.. well.. he wasn't home on the day my laptop play punk... so i decided a quick way is to go service center to get it solved ASAP lor....

Well.. at least all is well now... got to chiong my course work liao... and well.... wish me luck for my IPPT later man.... haha...

Bad Bad Day....

Today is not a good day for me....in fact... quite bad for me.... Haiz...

Got so much problems man... actually it's one main big problem... but it led me to feel that other small problem are being exaggerated.... so it becomes alot of problems...

Start with last night...

My OS prompt me to restart for a Windows update... which i did....

After that... i never got to use my laptop again...

The OS got stuck before the log in part, refusing to complete the Windows update... then it just reboot itself... and the cycle carries on... i left it there for awhile, until i was too tired to wait... then i just force shut it down...

Then this morning... i woke up early to try again... because i actually have a lesson at 0930... in school... but to no avail... tried the diagnostics tools.. everything i could...

In the end.. drove down to Funan Mall to the service center... hoping to get it fixed, or sent in for repiars, then i can choing down for lesson...

And this is the next infuriating part of my encounter... there's an auntie just before me, already at the counter when i went in and took my number. I'm just after her....

But.... i waited close to 45 minutes before i finally got my turn at the counter... there's only 1 counter by the way....

I would have been fine with the wait... if there's really a big issue that the auntie need to settle... the problem is.... she seem to be asking very trivial matters... i heard the staff explaining to her what's the power on indicator, volume button and about the wireless connection button... and she was asking the staff on whether she can upgrade her RAM.. to what amount... and alot of other really small matters.

To be fair, i shouldn't blame her... because she's afterall of a certain age, and it's good that she's learning to use a laptop... but some questions that she asked is really too trivial... i mean, as a laptop user, shouldn't you learn more about the laptop itself? Like where's the power button? How to operate the volume button?

Haiz... anyway.... yup... i waited close to 40 minutes for that... all the while listening to some rather "outrageous questions... i mean... a service center is for servicing a laptop, not learn how to use a laptop's basic operations.... right?
And since i actually planned to go for lessons after that, the wait became rather disturbing...

In the end... i had to forgo the lesson....

And that's still not the end....

The parking charges there is $2 per hour, $0.50 per 15 minutes thereafter....
When i exit.... i paid $2.50... i count my time... i parked for 1hour and at most 2 minutes... of which half and hour is wasted by the auntie....
This was also the reason why i forgo my breakfast there... because i wanted to save on the parking... but then.... Haiz....

But i think the 2 minute was also contributed by the long wait for the lift... there's only 1 life to the car park... think they purposely build it that way.. then can get more from the parking charges....
And the carpark design is seriously rather flawed and unclear... i'm not even sure where the exit is....

Like i mentioned.. all the events would have been trivial for me on normal days... but well... today's just not my day...

On the way... i wanted to drop by the hawker centre near my house for my meal... there's no parking...
When i got out of the car... my bottle cap opened by itself in my paper bag... wetting the contents... including my handphone headphone... and sun glasses...

Busy Busy Busy Busy......

Today and yesterday have got to be the busiest times of my life ....

I shall start off with yesterday...

In the morning, i went for my dog-walking at SPCA... after able to walk the dogs by myself... without much guidance from the senior volunteers, unlike the previous walks...

It was a rather enjoyable process, save for having to pick up their poo... -_-
But that's part and parcel of rearing a dog... and i should get use to it.. because i do have plans to keep a dog in future... haha...
My parents doesn't allow me to it for now...

And perhaps because i ams till a stranger to them, the dogs weren't that very friendly to me... unlike how they show their affections to the senior volunteers... but they were still nice... but i think this is also a rather important factor to take note... because if a volunteer gets too attached to a dog he/she is walking... it'll be sad if the dog gets adopted... so i guess in a way... we should suppress our feelings...

Had a surprise during the walk though... a man in a Volvo SUV suddenly struck a conversation with me about the Siberia Husky that i was walking... he was driving, then suddenly stop at the road, open the window and talk.... haha...
Lucky there wasn't any car behind or something...
I think he's interested in adopting the Husky...he mentioned that he had one at home too... then asked me for the info of that Husky i'm walking... Nice fella... driving a Volvo... i'm sure his house to big enough for many Huskies...

Next time, i would like to get a Husky too... haha... it's a beautiful creature... but the problem is... they are not HDB approved.. so i will have to earn enough money to get a private estate....
Man.. that would be expensive....

That morning.. i walked 2 Huskies, and a German Shepherd... all rather big dogs...

Later in the evening, i went for my swimming, as per usual... going to have to go till near to April... Hopefully i can get the test done by that time.. don't want to drag it for too long... i've been learning life saving for close to a year already... since last May... There's a batch that joined 1 lesson after me, they are siblings, and so they were arranged to take their test for the LS123 earlier than me... resulting in an earlier BM (Bronze Medallion) test date for them....
And i was delayed because of that... and i had to join into a group of new youngsters, then the instructor dilly dally.. the youngster happy go lucky... talk and talk all day long.. play around....

Haiz... think my BM is going to be delayed as well.... because the test is taken as a group...

Come to think of it... it's rather unfair to me... i should have been with the earlier group... That group consist of another person, who had abit of problem passing the BM, because it involved timing...
If that is so, they should have put me in with the earlier group instead of her.... then i can also clear my course faster mah....

Haiz.... no choice now i guess.... suck it up.... Haiz.......

After swimming.... i received 2 phone calls.... of rather confidential matters... so i shan't reveal it here.... haha....

But this two phone calls subsequently led me to meet up with the 2 people involved... back to back... to lend a listening ear....talk things out... and that ended with me reaching home at 0500 hrs by the time the second meeting finished....

Haiz... think i can go part-time as a love-lost Doctor someday... because this two issues are related to relationships.....
And to think i have been a bachelor for 21 years and counting... haha...

Anyway... yar.... that's yesterday...

This morning... i have to report at the Blood Bank at 0845hrs for my volunteer duty... being a photographer there to take pictures of birthday donors... all the way till 1200hrs... so i've only seplt for awhile, before driving down to the blood bank... i was getting tired when i drove... but luckily, the work involves walking around, so i was sort of energised for the work...
Got a dry-fit red Volunteer T-shirt... not bad.... haha... think Blood bank getting rich...

Following that, i went for a staff lunch by the blood bank, then went for my blood donation...
As it was a Saturday, there were quite abit of people... so i had to wait awhile... and by the time i completed everything and reach home, it was close to 1600hrs....
Was getting abit sleepy during the drive home... dangerous man... have to blast the music to keep myself awake....

Slept for another while... got Jap lessons at 1730.....

Wow.......

Luckily, that's the last activity for the day...

Sometimes i do wonder i manage to complete amazing feats as such.... i guess i just did it... haha...

Ok... go rest liao...

Busy Busy Busy...

Been so busy this past few days.... i haven't got any of my own stuffs done.... Darn....

Visitings... go here and there... see here and there.. meet here and there... check out cars and stuffs... that's how i spent my past few days... going out everyday....

It's bad enough that i am having my prelims at the end of the month... plus i have a course work still not complete....

Arghhh.. so many things... so little time... (actually i wasted alot of time as well...)

Been going around looking for cars too with my parents.... have some plans to change... but still checking things out... see how ba... slowly... haha....

Seen a few, narrowed down to this 2... Toyota Vios and Rush... thinking of just trading in my current 2 cars for one... save some money... especially on the parking... since i am only the active user for now...

But well... still checking around... slowly lar... haha...

That's about all i guess... go do my work liao....

A very funny story....

Went for some basketball this morning... and i heard something really funny...

Haha...

Funny till the point... well...maybe it's good to be true.... haha....

The thing is this.... apparently, at a CNY gathering yesterday at somebody's house (which i didn't go...), someone told the crowd that he saw me, at Bedok, amongst the crowd... holding a girl's hand....

Hmmm.....

My first reaction to this wa.... WOW~~~

It sounded so nice... haha... Wow~~~

I was momentarily stunned (by VS) for a while... cold ice stunned.... it's so amusing... i was hoping it could be real.... haha...

Anyway.... i can only say this...

1) That person got divine eyes, saw me with something else...
2) That person see wrongly...
3) It's just a story...

I mean... i got so much stuffs at hand.... i don't even have time to sleep properly...

Well... that's all... haha...

It's a nice story though....
