Inspiring Day...

Today had been a rather inspiring day...

Went for a run this morning...a run long overdue...

Had wanted to keep to a routine of at least once a week... maintain my fitness...
But sometimes.. due to alot of factors... work... study... basketball... lazy... i tend to miss the sessions...

And so...since today no class and no work.... went to run 1 round around Bedok Reservoir... not much.. only 4.8km...

By the way... i have decided to join the Standard Chartered Full Marathon... 42.125km...

Well... i know it sounds kinda crazy... but yep... that's me... haha...

I figured that by signing up, it will actually help me maintain a constant training session.. which is beneficial to my IPPT too, which i plan to take at the end of the year... and i am aiming for Gold... $400 leh.... good to have....
And in a way, i feel that at my significant 21 years of life... i should took a few more spectacular things...
I've already conquered Mount Kinabalu via the longer route...and i am currently still taking my life-saving course... planning to take scuba diving soon... so the marathon will be the next big thing for me...

But the sad thing is... i think i will most probably be running alone... not much people wanted to run....
But in a way, it's good too, because then will i be able to concentrate on my pace properly... my slow and easy pace...

Saw a newspaper article on the "Terry Fox" run... and somehow... i think i will also join that... do my part for charity...
But that one is easier... 12km only....

After the run.... while resting at home... Dj called me up... actually i called him... because i got a miss call from him... and something actually struck me during our conversation...
He told me about his exam results... from his ACCA programme... all were higher than a FCH standard...
In a way.... i feel very proud that as a friend... a fellow Victorian... a classmate... and a fellow "cannot get into local University" mate... he is doing so well...
I've heard of stories of friend's friend who did so too... but hearing it coming from your own friend makes the thing even so wonderful...
It suddenly inspires me on my own goal.... also FCH...

I mean... here is already a living example of the possibility... if he can.. i can too.. haha...
And so... yep... i will carry on with my goal, fall power~~~

To be honest... i had felt rather low during the ODAC night cycling... because though the many interactions... i found that most of the people from there are from polytechnics, with some from neighbourhood JCs... like me...
At one point, i actually mentioned that i entered SIM because of lousy grades, due to a mis-interpretation of question... and it's like... my answer suddenly hit myself very hard...
Hey...i am actually admitting my weakness out... it like such a sucky feeling...

I guess... it may be due to the fact that i will only show the positive and strong side of me out... never the weak... so that answer suddenly struck me like a beer bottle on my head...
Man... i am kinda lousy....

Ok... alot of internal thoughts here...

But well... with the inspiration from DJ... i think i am going to do just fine...

Luis's Birthday~~

Just came back from Luis's Birthday celebration at his house....

Quite tired now... because i slept late yesterday... because i slept too much in the day... then this morning still went to play basketball....

This morning's basketball session was rather tiring ... but yet refreshing... because it had been awhile since i last played... maybe 2 weeks?
Played rather satisfactory... and i finally master the art of "OEIOEO"... managed to use this skill throughout the match today... so i was feeling much more relaxed and happy... haha...
Still find my stamina lacking man... will work on that....

Then afternoon come back never sleep... then go Lui's house....

And so... i am actually very very tired now.... ZzzzZZzzzz...

Anyway... ate quite abit there... BBQ stuffs... met up with the MK team... yep...

It was a rather small group today... and there were only the other 3 of us from the VS group...

But well... managed to make some new friends... yup...

Basically... we helped out in the preparation and cooking... then as usual... i will eat as i cook... so was actually quite full....
Also played some card games there and there.... yar...

Ok... actually nothing much happened also... so i also don't know what else to say liao... maybe my brain too tired... cannot think properly...

Actually... now then is the exact birthday of Luis....

And so... Luis.. if you are reading this.... I wish you all the best for your studies... must get 2nd Uppers and above ok!!!

And well... you can "son and grandson fill the hall" soon after that... haha... ^_^

Night Cycling...

Just came back from my SIM ODAC night cycling trip this morning... at around 0700hrs...

And i practically slept the whole day after cleaning up my bicycle and stuffs...

Slept... wake up to eat.. then went back to sleep again... all the way till around 2000hrs... then wake up to watch some TV...

Haha... shiok man... haven't done this in a long long time...

But the thing was... i didn't sleep for more than 24 hours to begin with... because on Friday morning, i woke up at 0545 to prepare to send my bicycle to NUS together with my brother before 0700hrs... then i cycled to SIM from NUS for my class at 0830... following which i have another guest lecture at 1300 to 1500....
After that... i went to the library to do some reading... then went Luis's house to chill... but couldn't get to sleep... so just chit chat abit... then after that went to meet up at SIM le...
Then basically... just stayed awake throughout...

Anyway... the night cycling was rather fun... started at SIM... played some ice-breaking games... then go all the way to East Coast Park.. with stops at some nasi lemark place near NUS... the carpark beside the hawker center to take bus into Sentosa there, and at the Esplanade area....

The only problem was that there wasn't much bonding around... because there are already gangs formed from the Freshman Orientation Camp last month... so they will tend to stick together during breaks and stuffs... so it was very hard to make any bonding at all...

Nevertheless... it was still some fun... playing games that were played so long ago... pepsi cola... 007... what wooden head man lar... all the childhood games... haha...
Made some new friends... but the problem with me is that... i can't remember names well... haha... so i actually forgot almost all the face and names liao.... darn....
Oh well... if got meet then act blur lor... haha..

Anyway...my trusted bicycle sure served me well... it helped made my journey so much smoother and better... very good....
But sometimes i was so tired... wasn't really paying attention to the front person.... so nearly knocked into them... but lucky my reflexes kicked in... haha...

After finally reaching East Coast Park... the rest sent in their bicycles... then we went to Macdonald for breakfast...
Well... actually only a few of us from the same group... because the rest either all go le... or join their own gang... so kinda sad...
I was practically dragging myself there... was so very tired.. then after that still have to cycle home somemore... so i had initially decided not to go.... but since it's suppose to be a group thing... i just went ahead...

So there you have it... after breakfast.. chiong home... wash up... then knock out... haha...

Murphy's Law....

Today... Mr Murphy paid me a visit...

In fact... not a visit... is visitS.....

Thanks to him... my whole day was practically ruined.. ... all my plans were sort of wrecked...

Ok... first thing.... suppose to go for a run this morning... but can't wake up... haha...
Ok.. this one is my own fault.. not Murphy's...

Then i went out to get the refill for my CO2 producer and to get the "horns" fixed on my bicycle in preparation for tomorrow's night cycling....
Both stuffs don't have stock...

In case you are wondering... the horns are the racer thingy attached to the handle bar...
I searched the 2 bicycle shops that i know of in my area... but to no avail...

Murphy visited me 2 times....

Next... i initially wanted to bring my bicycle to school today, then can put it in Luis's house first, but the thing is... the bicycle too big to fit into the Nissan Sunny... Sian...
And i wasted so much time trying, and in the end bring it up home again... i was abit rushed for time for my lesson liao...

3rd visit..

And so.. i stepped on the accelerator, and off i went... zooming up the highway...
And for the 4th visit my our dear Murphy... i was stuck in a traffic jam at AYE... it's around 1515hrs.... impossible to have jam at this time one...
But still... i was stucked there... for very long..

It turns out that there was 2 accidents along the highway... one at lane 2, involving 2 cars... who are staying put there, exchanging particulars and stuffs...

The 2nd one was around a few hundred metres away... this time there was at least 4 cars involved, at lane 1... the police car was already there when i reached the site...

Just pass the accident site, the traffic was totally clear... and i rushed for class... 20 minutes late... -_-

What a day..... you think it's over?

5th time... when i was about to leave school at 2015hrs... it began to drizzle abit... and then... came the big downpour at the highway... it was so big... it's hard to drive... everyone drove rather slowly for safety...

The thing is... i just washed the car in the afternoon... so cleaned up... then have to kena rain.... Haiz....
Lucky i didn't wax today.. or else 'xin dong" man....

Had wanted to do alot of things today.... but well... everything that could go wrong went wrong... spoilt my plans...

Now my bicycle don't have the racer horns.... my bicycle still at home... got to transport it tomorrow morning.... and my fish tank don't have CO2....

Nothing very special... jsut feel like venting it out... haha...

Blogging in my school library...

Right now... i'm at my school library.... using the wireless internet connection... haha...

Got nothing to do now... so just blog abit... while waiting for my laptop to charge finish... ^_^

Yep... yar...

Forgot to bring my headphone... so i can't watch YouTube or listen to songs to pass my time... so very bored...

Ok... also nothing to say.... so that's that...

Busy... busy...

It has been a very busy week... packed with school... work... make up lessons... life-saving courses... and more work...

Especially so for Thursday and Friday... i was packed for the whole day with lessons and work... sometimes rushing in between....

On Thursday.. i drove to school early in the morning... only to have my class cancelled because the lecturer forgot about it... -_-"
So the lesson was changed to Friday morning... and i went to the library to chill (literally... because the air-con is very very cold...) till the afternoon...
Then i drove to work... somewhere in Marsiling...
And after that rushed back for my evening class.... i was around 20minutes late... because of my mis-interpretation of the road.... haha...
Kinda embarrassing to go in.. but no choice... and the creaky door didn't help... it was so loud everyone turned to look at me.... diao....

Friday... also about the same... morning class... afternoon go work... then evening go life-saving course.... full day booked.... but this time i chose not to drive... save some money... took bus...

And well... Yesterday morning also went to work... then in the evening went for Gary's 21 birthday celebration....
In between... i was so tired... i just slept on the sofa all the way...

At the chalet... it suddenly dawned upon me that i am at the next phase of my life already.... and slowly... there will be friends that you will eventually loose contact with.. or just seldom contact anymore...
Especially so since i am in a different institute from most of my friends... it would mean that i won't be keeping in touch as often with alot of them...
It was rather apparent yesterday night that i was among the rather "odd" one there... i don't fit into any topics related to NTU or NUS... totally nothing to say man....
But well... i am also not a talkative person... so i don't mind listening in...

Well... not that i am still sore over not getting in... but it's just felt kinda "out"... and that feeling sucks....
Heard from another fellow SIM friend, Yi Ming.. that you can actually re-apply for a place at the local Universities if your grades are good enough to cross over.. but you have to start at the 1st year again...
Come to think of it... what's the point?
If i want to get an Honours degree... i would effectively be spending 5 years on my tertiary education... which by then... most of my peers are already in the work force... and i would then again... be lagging behind...
So i guess i am sticking onto my 3 years Honour degree path...

I guess... i'll just have to face the real world...
Personally... i do feel like i'm labelled as "not bright" for being in SIM... in fact... since my VS days i guess i am not very bright to alot of people...
It may be true... but sometimes it just feels sad that others have that image of me stuck in their mind as being that... "not bright"... poor grades and all...
And it is rather obvious from the way they react to you when asking questions... Haiz....

Maybe i am being over-sensitive... but well... the feeling is there man....

Luckily... i have a very thick skin... ^_^... so i actually take this view of others as a challenge to myself... i would prove myself over this course.... this sorts of motivate me to aim on for my FCH.... nothing short...
If i have to compete with the rest... it has to be a FCH....
It sucks to have this "not bright" labelled on me... for so long... and i want to change it...
And i believe i can...

SIM... afterall... is very good place to concentrate on studies... there is not much school life... so you will literally go there and study only....
But that is really boring... so i've actually joined the SIM ODAC... and joined their night cycling activity this coming Friday....
It would be good to get to know more friends on a personal basis... since we don't actually interact much in lectures... and that would also make school life more interesting...
But it would be abit troublesome... because we have to meet in SIM for the cycling... and i am using my own bicycle... so i have to transport it to Luis's house one of these days...

Anyway.... that's about what had happened this week... lots of activity and thoughts... haha...

Boring Weekend....

Yep... with no work.. no basketball.... no homework.... kinda bored....

Practically stayed home the whole weekend... no work because it was suppose to be some National Day rest day...
No basketball... because the SHG went for some Go-karting event... which in the end i am glad i didn't go... because it was rather not worth the money... as i've heard... haha...
And i guess.. it's about as boring as me staying at home... just that have to spend money...

Anyway.... yep... so bored... went to revise on my notes...

So far... the lectures are still ok... though i am learning new stuffs... they are relatively easy... for the moment... so.. not much of a problem....
Haven't been given any tutorial... so yar... still quite free...

On Friday, went out with the MK gang after school... met up at Vivo for lunch... ate abit at "Marche", then went to Carl's Junior...
Why we ate at 2 places... was because the food at "Marche" was rather expensive and small.. so we ate abit... then went on to Carl's Junior to fill our stomach... haha....
Anyway... food was not that important... we did some catch up on each other... yar....

Hmmm... guess that's about it... to my boring weekend....

Sleepy National Day...

As the title suggest... i had a rather sleepy day... on the Nation's Birthday... haha...

Guess it was due to the exhaustion from yesterday's work.... i woke up at 0600 hrs... and worked all the way till 1700hrs.... plus a late night sleep from the day before...

And yup...so.. very tired... haha...

So much so that in the end... i didn't go for a soccer session with the SHG... not feeling too good...
Anyway.. i was sort of mis-led.... because it was raining at 0700hrs at Bedok area... so well.. thought the whole Singapore is raining... haha... so maybe they cancelled it... so went back to sleep.... ^_^

Anyway.... well.... it happened... so.... never mind...

Spent the rest of the day watching abit of TV... then slept again... too tired liao... slept till the National Day Parade started then wake up to watch....

This time round.. the parade was rather sepcial... held at the Marina Bay for the first time... then the President also no need to walk around for the inspection... just stand on the vehicle can liao... so shiok... haha...
The parade was much more interactive this time.. show casing the Defence forces capabilities... with some interaction among the audience... quite exciting...
Then there is the Commandos and Divers doing their special stuffs..... man stuffs... haha...

It was also the first time that they have 2 parachute jumps in the event, 1 before dusk, and 1 at night.... awesome...

Kinda makes me wished i could take part in this year's NDP parade as one of them...^_^

Yep... quite a nice parade....

Oh yar.. forgot to mention... i saw the apaches from my house window... think they came form Changi Air Base... kinda cool.... directly from my window man... too bad i didn't have my handphone with me... or else i would have snapped some pictures of it... and show it here... haha...

Oh well... maybe next year ba.... haha....

Tired day....

Decided to do some blogging now... while waiting for my anime,"D.Gray-Man" to load finish... taking kinda long...

Seem to be in a rather tired mode today... maybe it's because yesterday play basketball, then today go work ...

Last lesson for HCJC... and they have to loose an arrow....
The whole class was activated to search for it.. but to no avail...

Oh well... doesn't matter... not very expensive...

Then after that go home lor... tired.....

Tomorrow i have class at noon... then initially suppose to go work after that.... but suddenly realised that my lecture time has been changed to a later time, resulting in me being unable to reach my work site on time.. so no choice... no work....

Abit sian... no money... but well... i guess i could use some break here and there... Wednesday got another full day...
In fact... i realised although i have slacked quite abit in the earlier part of the year, the later part, leading to the start of my University life, was rather packed... with work, and school work...
So... i sincerely don't mind a little break... haha...

My anime is still not done... but i am running out of nonsense already.... haha...

Oh well... guess that's all....

Occupied week....

A rather occupied week has passed...

Kept busy everyday... either with school, or work, or LSC....

On days which i have no class, i would be working... and vice versa...

And so... i must say.. the week was spent rather meaningfully....

I can still cope for the moment.. i mean... lectures at the start are always at a relaxed and easy pace... and so... i'll do some self-management... stop when the work is heavy.... don't worry...

And since the days now are rather free... i think it's still good to carry on filling up my days, with work... so won't feel so bored at home... and at the same time... save some money.. planning to get a new study table.... saw a very good one at IKEA....

Anyway... this morning went for a basketball match.... and personally... i think i play like shit... literally man... haha...
Didn't enjoy it.... because there is only 3 of us....no outsiders to play with.... then it's like there is lack of the special adrenalin rush in a competition...
Think we got to get a more regular team le... or else go there like no "high" feeling...

Another thing was... we initially wanted to attempt to retrieve back the basketball that we lost last Sunday... but well... no hope... the group that was there last week wasn't around...
So i guess... it's gone for good le...
The consoling fact is that... the ball also quite old already... kinda wear off liao.... so it's time to get a new ball....

Recently saw a very good anime on Kids Central... "D.Gray-Man"... kinda hooked on it le... haha... downloading on YouTube now...

And so... with nothing else to crap about... i'll end this post and go watch liao... So long~~~
